Seed schools program

Climate Justice workshops facilitated by Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network for Indigenous students.

In Australia, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are already experiencing the worst impacts of climate change, but it’s also our communities who are at the forefront of change.  We are leading solutions and building a society that is healthier, cleaner, and that puts people before profits.

Our Seed Schools program aims to empower, inspire and equip high school students with the skills to become deadly young leaders in their community. Students will learn how to take action for climate justice, including how to build a group, and how to engage decision makers to create change on a local, national and global level.

Workshop will cover:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture, and its country/place (OI.1, OI.2, OI.3)
  • Cultures (OI.6)
  • Sustainability and its organising ideas (OI.3, OI.4, OI.6, OI.7, OI.8, OI.9)
