Regional Training Camps are a place for us as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to come together to share, learn, discuss, plan and inspire one another. We hope that friendships blossom, networks are created, important conversations are had and plans are made to build our grassroots networks of volunteers and run campaigns to protect our land, culture and communities from climate change and fossil fuel extraction.
We want to ensure that we limit barriers that may arise for any young mob who are interested in attending. We want to invest in you and so will be absorbing all travel/transport, accommodation and meal costs.
Whether you’ve been a volunteer for ages, you’re completely brand new or you’re somewhere in between, we are inviting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people from all around the country to come and yarn about protecting country, culture, and taking action against destructive fossil fuel companies as well as make plans for how we can build solutions led by strong, resilient communities.
