No more hand outs to fossil fuel corporations
In the 2023-24 budget, the Federal government has committed over $1.5 billion to the NT, to fund their dangerous and dirty ‘gas fired recovery’.
There is a massive $9.6 billion dollar handout for fuel tax credits, and $61.7 million dollars worth of measures to support fossil fuel growth. This slush fund subsidies gas corporations like Empire Energy, Santos and Origin Energy, allowing them to destroy water, country and culture.

These public money handouts are an insult to Traditional Owners in the Northern Territory, the Kimberley and the Pilbara and First Nations communities right across the nation who spend everyday fighting back against this dangerous industry.
